COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - 
O'Fallon (Ill.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 27-13 victory over 
Collinsville (Ill.) on Saturday. The Panthers took the lead for good when 
Klayton Gettis ran for a touchdown.
The Kahoks pulled ahead on a 
Jamal Wellemaker touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-0. The Panthers scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Gettis that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 13 points in the third, O'Fallon still trailed by three points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped OF pull out the victory.
Collinsville's lone touchdown came on a 45-yard run by Wellemaker in the first quarter.
The Panthers entered the contest giving up 24.8 points per game this year.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 31-7 win for O'Fallon.
The win was a nice bounce back for OF, which lost to Belleville West last week, 55-38. The loss was the fourth in a row for Collinsville.
Collinsville (1-5) goes up against Belleville West in a Southwestern game matchup next week, while O'Fallon (4-2) locks horns with Edwardsville also in a Southwestern game.
