Switzerland County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clarksville 56-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pacers.
Switzerland County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Bailey, who rushed for 56 yards and one score, and also threw for 48 yards and one touchdown. Kolvin Beck was in the mix too, providing the Pacers with one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Switzerland County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 402 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.
Another reason for the win was Switzerland County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Grayson Levell with two. Switzerland County received some extra help from Beck, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Brownstown Central took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-21 victory over Paoli. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Braves just coasted through the last quarter.
Brownstown Central's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Switzerland County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Switzerland County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 244.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brownstown Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 295 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Switzerland County was taken down by Brownstown Central 50-8 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Pacers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
