The Leetonia Bears are taking a road trip to  take on the Malvern Hornets  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Leetonia is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Leetonia lost  3-0 to Wellsville on Thursday.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15,  25-18.
 Meanwhile, Malvern didn't have quite enough to beat Newcomerstown on Thursday and fell  3-2.
 Malvern actually scored more points across those five sets (100-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. After all that action, the final score was 25-19, 17-25, 25-21, 14-25,  15-10.
 Malvern's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Zoe Sikorsky, who  had 13  digs and three  aces, and  Addy Mitchell, who  had 11  digs and two  aces. The dominant performance gave  Sikorsky a new career-high in  aces.
 Leetonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Malvern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
 Leetonia suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Malvern  in their previous meeting  back in August of 2023. Can Leetonia avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
