The Bethel-Tate Tigers will face off against the Reading Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethel-Tate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Bethel-Tate's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Finneytown 13-0. Considering the Tigers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaylee Randolph made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Addysyn Bohl was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jess Mahan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bethel-Tate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Finneytown only managed two hits.
Reading couldn't beat Mercy McAuley on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Blue Devils fell 9-5 to the Wolves.
Reading saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Berry, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Bethel-Tate's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Reading, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bethel-Tate has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Reading struggles in that department as they've averaged .528. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bethel-Tate came up short against Reading in their previous matchup back in March of 2019, falling 12-7. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
