Knox Central put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Russell County as they made off with a 49-19 win. That result was just more of the same for Knox Central, who also won the last time these teams played.
Knox Central's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 42 points in the first half. Russell County came up with 13 to make it 42-13 heading into the break. The Knox Central defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The victory bumped Knox Central's record up to 4-1. The defeat dropped Russell County's record to 3-2.
Next week Knox Central take on Clay County at 7:30 PM. Knox Central will be strutting in after a victory while Clay County will be stumbling in from a loss. Russell County will look to defend their home turf against Campbellsville at 8:30 PM.
