Brianna Snyder made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amanda Torres, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Khrystine Gil was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Miami Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Miami Springs' win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

However, it's not like Miami Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
