Meanwhile, Clearview put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Oberlin on the road to the tune of 42-0. The game marked the Clippers' most dominant win of the season so far.
Cy Christensen looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jg Hill, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wellington now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Clearview, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Wellington was dealt a bruising 48-12 defeat at the hands of Clearview when the teams last played back in September of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wellington was down 41-6.
