Lake is 2-8 against McKinley since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lake Blue Streaks will head out on the road to square off against the McKinley Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lake scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Wooster by a score of 60-51. The win was familiar territory for Lake who now have three in a row.
McKinley proved they can win big on Sunday (they won by 40) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Archbishop Hoban. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lake's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for McKinley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Lake came up short against McKinley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 47-42. Can Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
