1A Nisqually - Division 1 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Zach Fairhart and Brendan Davis provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Chimacum. The connection was good for 85 yards, the longest such play in 1A Nisqually - Division 1 this season.
Cascade Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Port Townsend, 55-19. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Cougars.
Jaelin Goldsmith threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He was 11-16 with two interceptions.
Fairhart made the biggest impact on defense this week as Eatonville topped the Cowboys. The senior grabbed one interception and forced one fumble.
Bradon Atkins was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 155 yards as the Cruisers bested Chimacum. Teammate Fairhart added to the ground attack by rushing for 79 yards.
Davis was the best wideout in 1A Nisqually - Division 1 this week as Eatonville beat Shawn Meacham's team. Davis tallied four receptions for 126 yards. Caleb Keefer helped Eatonville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 47 yards.
On the ground, the Cruisers' Atkins has rushed for 700 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Davis. The Eatonville star has 18 catches for 445 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Eatonville takes on Bellevue Christian. As it stands, the Cruisers are in first, while the Vikings are in fourth.
