The Olympus Titans will take on the Box Elder Bees at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympus will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Olympus can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 35-6 victory over West Jordan. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Olympus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Moseley, who threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Brown, who gained 131 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Box Elder was able to grind out a solid victory over Maple Mountain on Friday, taking the game 28-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Box Elder.
Box Elder's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daxton Sumko led the charge by rushing for 177 yards. Damon Rodriguez was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Olympus' win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.7 points per game. As for Box Elder, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Olympus came up short against Box Elder in their previous matchup back in October of 2016, falling 28-21. Can Olympus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
