After two games on the road, Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Bismarck Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Valley humbled Bourbon with a 74-47 victory.
Meanwhile, Bismarck really took it to St. Paul Lutheran for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-21 win on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-13.
Daven Miller went supernova for Bismarck, scoring 29 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Bismarck's points. Another player making a difference was Sven Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds.
The win got Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Bismarck, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Valley against Bismarck in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 as the squad secured a 69-29 win. Will Valley repeat their success, or does Bismarck have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
