Despite the defeat, Middletown saw an underclassman step up: Lamaya Gonsalves scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gonsalves has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Rogers, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 55-26 loss at the hands of Classical.
Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Middletown came up short against Rogers when the teams last played back in February of 2021, falling 44-35. Can Middletown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
