Last Tuesday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Unity Christian Academy made off with a 57-56 victory over Mooseheart. With that win, Unity Christian Academy brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Shamar Coleman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Unity Christian Academy's points. Donovan O'Neil was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morton Grove Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 72-21 win over Islamic Foundation on the road. Morton Grove Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.
Youssef Hassab was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayd Ibrahim, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Unity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Morton Grove Academy, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
