The Carbon Hill Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Corner Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Carbon Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Last Thursday, Carbon Hill didn't have too much trouble with Oakman at home as they won 58-44.
Meanwhile, Corner pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fultondale. While losing is never fun, Corner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Fultondale is ranked 118th).
Carbon Hill pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Corner, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Carbon Hill was able to grind out a solid win over Corner when the teams last played last Thursday, winning 57-48. Does Carbon Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Corner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
