Basketball Recap: HUDSON BARTH's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mishawaka Homeschool W over Living Water Homeschool

Mishawaka HomeSchool W easily dispatched Varsity Opponent last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Mishawaka HomeSchool W Wildcats fell just short of the Living Water Homeschool Marlins by a score of 62-59 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 37-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was HUDSON BARTH, who went 8 of 15 en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave BARTH a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Oliver CANNON, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Mishawaka HomeSchool W was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive games.

Mishawaka HomeSchool W has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Living Water Homeschool, with the victory, they broke their 15-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-10.

Mishawaka HomeSchool W didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-46 loss against Miami Valley HomeSchool on the 1st. Living Water Homeschool has also already played their next game (against Homefires), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
