St. Joseph won the last time it faced Riverside, and things went their way on Friday, too. St. Joseph took their game against Riverside by a conclusive 40-6 score. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (40) and coasted on those for the win.
No one had a larger role in the success than junior Dillon Johnson, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 102 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. This was the first game for both teams, giving St. Joseph a 1-0 record and starting Riverside off at 0-1.
Next week, St. Joseph take on Indianola Academy at 7:00 PM. As for Riverside, they will face of against St. Andrews Episcopal.
