The Sunset Bison's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Adamson by a score of 49-36. The win was just what Sunset needed coming off of a 96-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Jorge Castillo was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 14 points. Diego Aguillon was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Sunset's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-17. As for Adamson, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sunset will square off against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sunset in Texas (Wilson is ranked 430th, while Sunset is ranked 1243rd). As for Adamson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hillcrest at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Hillcrest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
