The Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 78-21 loss at the hands of Rushford-Peterson. Wabasha-Kellogg has not had much luck with Rushford-Peterson recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Wabasha-Kellogg had strong showings from Ada Walsh, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds, and Jessalyn Adams, who scored no points.
Wabasha-Kellogg bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Rushford-Peterson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabasha-Kellogg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethlehem Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Rushford-Peterson will finish 2023 at home by hosting Fillmore Central at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fillmore Central is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
