Biddeford extended their postseason success on Saturday against Marshwood. They had just enough and edged out the Hawks  4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Tigers have posted  since May 8th.

Biddeford got a great performance from  Ernie Dore as he  pitched 9.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. What's more,  Dore posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April.
 On the hitting side,  Gavin Haggett was  excellent,  going 3-for-5 with two  doubles, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.
Biddeford is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Marshwood,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at 14 games  and leaves them with a 16-2 record.
 Biddeford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-1  victory against Thornton Academy on the 17th. Marshwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
