It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Windthorst Trojans had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by Lindsay on the road to the tune of 55-21. The win was familiar territory for Windthorst who now have six in a row.
Brock Belcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 217 yards and three touchdowns. Kolby Teakell was another key contributor, picking up 115 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Windthorst's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lindsay, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Windthorst is on the road again on Friday and play against Roscoe. Roscoe is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Lindsay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
