Wright City is 2-7 against Van-Far since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wright City Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Van-Far Indians at 7:00 p.m.
Wright City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. Their tough 63-37 loss to North Callaway might stick with them for a while. Wright City has not had much luck with North Callaway recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Van-Far had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 59 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They strolled past South Shelby with points to spare, taking the game 60-46.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Van-Far to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pacey Reading, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikos Connaway, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Wright City's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Van-Far, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
