The Union City Indians won the last time they faced the Centerville Bulldogs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Union City came out on top against Centerville by a score of 53-42.
Luane Schoonbroodt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Schoonbroodt has scored at least 25% of Union City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Ordonez, who scored six points.
Union City now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
Union City will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Knightstown at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Knightstown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. As for Centerville, they will head out on the road to face off against New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Castle is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
