Softball Recap: Beulah Gets the Win

While Beulah's victory against Mobridge-Pollock wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Tigers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Jaycee Weil spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cassie Christensen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Those runs were her first of the season.

The win got Beulah back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Beulah will square off against Wilton/Wing at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Beulah their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Redfield at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
