Leading Rural Vista [Hope/White City] to victory were Kole Riedy and Colton Jacobson. Riedy scored ten points along with five steals, while Jacobson scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Mein, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Wakefield's defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.1 points per game. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wakefield will square off against Herington at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wakefield comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
