The Meeker Cowboys lost against the Little Snake River Rattlers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Meeker fell 52-42 to the Rattlers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Meeker in their matchups with the Rattlers: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Meeker saw an underclassman step up: Rylee Sullivan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Knowles, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meeker's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Little Snake River, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Meeker won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Olathe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday. As for Little Snake River, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Panthers at 12:30 p.m. Saratoga has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
