The North Central Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Lewisville Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
North Central kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 79-12 loss at the hands of Lugoff-Elgin. North Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-5.
Meanwhile, Lewisville entered their tilt with Whitmire with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lewisville claimed a resounding 71-1 victory over Whitmire at home. With Lewisville ahead 40-1 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Trinity Baker had a dynamite game for Lewisville, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Baker has scored at least 25% of Lewisville's points. Aiyana Murrell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lewisville, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
North Central was dealt a bruising 50-9 loss at the hands of Lewisville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022.
