The IMG Academy Blue Ascenders will face off against MVP Baseball Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. IMG Academy Blue is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

IMG Academy Blue is returning to their home field after beating First Baptist Academy on theirs, despite the fact First Baptist Academy has dominated at home this season. The Ascenders were the clear victors by a 21-8 margin over the Lions two weeks ago. The Ascenders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

IMG Academy Blue got a massive performance out of Cole Miyashiro, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Miyashiro a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brennan Prendergast, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: IMG Academy Blue kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, MVP Baseball Academy didn't have quite enough to beat IMG Academy Gray on Tuesday and fell 7-6. MVP Baseball Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

SANTIAGO RAUSEO made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

MVP Baseball Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for IMG Academy Blue, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

IMG Academy Blue suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to MVP Baseball Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Ascenders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
