The Entrepreneur Panthers were the 66-54 winner over the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Entrepreneur took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Jacinto Leadership Academy on Thursday.
San Jacinto Leadership Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Gagnepain, who scored 19 points.
Entrepreneur bumped their record down to 5-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Entrepreneur will take on Calvary Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Baptist presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Entrepreneur in California (Calvary Baptist is ranked 601st, while Entrepreneur is ranked 1223rd). San Jacinto Leadership Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Entrepreneur at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. Entrepreneur is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
