The Richland Colts lost against the Oakes Tornadoes back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Richland fell 53-44 to Oakes. Richland has not had much luck with Oakes recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Richland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nick Mjoness, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Mjoness' trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Casyn Syvertsen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Richland dropped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Oakes, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Richland will be playing at home against Enderlin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Enderlin has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Oakes, they will head out on the road to take on Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wyndmere/Lidgerwood has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Oakes will arrive with three straight wins.
