The Millennium Falcons suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 85-32 loss at the hands of Stone Ridge Christian. While losing is never fun, Millennium can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1255th, while Stone Ridge Christian is ranked 623rd).
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andre Saldate, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eiden Ndeithi, who scored 11 points.
Stone Ridge Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Richards out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Richards' trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for five games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassius Salazar, who scored 19 points along with six assists and two steals.
Millennium's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Stone Ridge Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millennium will take on Elliot Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Elliot Christian has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Venture Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Venture Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
