The East Leopards suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They suffered a tough 58-35 defeat at the hands of Highland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East has scored all season.
East's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Dodd, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Sutton, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
East has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Highland, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
East on the road again on Tuesday and play against West at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. West is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Highland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Skyline is ranked 35th, while Highland is ranked 13th).
