Valley Falls extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 15-2 in the process. They beat the Oskaloosa Bears by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 on Monday.

As for Oskaloosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Oskaloosa's part, Tanner Haynes and Carter Boyd did some serious damage despite the final result: Haynes went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Boyd got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those hits marked the first that Haynes has got this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Falls will square off against Jefferson West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oskaloosa, they will take on Pleasant Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
