The Rockwell Marshals had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.9 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They really took it to Freedom Prep Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-40 win at home. Rockwell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 29 points or more this season.
Luke Henderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. Ethan Kearl was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Rockwell's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwell will face off against American Prep WV at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. American Prep WV knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Rockwell likes a good challenge. Freedom Prep Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Merit Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Merit Preparatory Academy is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
