After both having extra time off, the Samuel Fels Panthers and the Frankford Pioneers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Samuel Fels has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Samuel Fels came into their game last Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Masterman, falling 28-7.

Saul Rodriguez-Perez and Dean Paulino stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rodriguez-Perez went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Paulino went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Paulino is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Deivison Batista, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Frankford entered their tilt with Philadelphia Academy Charter last Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Chargers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by exactly ten runs.
Keury Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Perez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jeremy Vega, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Gabriel Perez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Frankford hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Frankford's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Samuel Fels, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Samuel Fels has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Frankford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Samuel Fels couldn't quite finish off Frankford in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
