Gavin Markey Delivers Electric Effort Vs East Hall
Starting off the list is Jefferson's Gavin Markey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markey rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Markey and Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Titus Watkins Delivers Best Performance of Season
Titus Watkins produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Oconee County to the win on Friday. Watkins threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards.
Watkins and Oconee County will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. Watkins will face off against Brooks Brien, the Bears' star QB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Thompson Posts Huge Game in 52-24 Win
Kaden (Kt) Thompson was instrumental in extending Cherokee Bluff's winning streak to seven on Friday. Thompson was dynamite, picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown. Those 51 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Cherokee Bluff's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Thompson will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Oconee County on Thursday.
