The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions will face off against the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Sierra Vista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Green Valley, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Sierra Vista was ranked 16th). Sierra Vista came out on top in a nail-biter against Green Valley on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mountain Lions have posted since February 28th.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-106) Sierra Vista actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 19-25, 25-21, 16-14.

The Roadrunners haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Sierra Vista was able to grind out a solid win over Southeast Career Tech in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, winning 2-0. Will Sierra Vista repeat their success, or does Southeast Career Tech has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
