Baseball Game Preview: Valley Oaks CES Vanguards vs. Community Charter Titans

Valley Oaks CES hasn't had much luck against Community Charter recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vanguards will welcome the Titans at 2:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Valley Oaks CES is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game last Friday. They came up short against Fulton, falling 16-6.

Luis Guzman was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Miguel Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Community Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 21-11 to Lakeview Charter.

Valley Oaks CES' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Community Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Valley Oaks CES' way against Community Charter in their previous matchup back in March, as Valley Oaks CES made off with a 15-3 victory. Will the Vanguards repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
