The Foothill Falcons will challenge the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Foothill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Newark Memorial on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Myra Galzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Madyson Espino was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Schilling, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Bishop O'Dowd not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17, 2025 (when they won 21-1). Everything went their way against Mt. Eden as they made off with an 18-1 win. With that victory, the Dragons brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Blake Kellermann was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Sakarra Khalil was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Foothill's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bishop O'Dowd, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Bishop O'Dowd's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Foothill has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Bishop O'Dowd, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Foothill's sizable advantage in that area, the Dragons will need to find a way to close that gap.
