Manchester (Midlothian, Va.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 12 fourth quarter points to seal the 31-0 victory over Clover Hill (Midlothian, Va.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Simon Lakee in the first quarter, the Lancers led 6-0 at the half.
Manchester expanded its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Rose Daniel.
A 53-44 Manchester victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Clover Hill defeated Midlothian 42-6 last week. With the win Manchester extended its winning streak to three games.
Clover Hill (1-3) goes up against Cosby in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Manchester (4-1) locks horns with Midlothian also in a non-conference game.
