Elwood is on a four-game streak of home losses, Southern Wells a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Elwood Panthers will get right back to it and host the Southern Wells Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Southern Wells took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Elwood, who comes in off a win.
Elwood is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since February 20, 2024 on Monday. They breezed past GEO Next Generation to the tune of 59-31.

Elwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Mullins led the charge by going 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and six boards. What's more, Mullins also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Gordon, who posted ten points.
Elwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Southern Wells had to suffer through a 77-25 loss at the hands of Jay County. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Despite the defeat, Southern Wells saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landon Johnson earned two points in addition to eight blocks and three steals. Those eight blocks set a new season-high mark for Johnson. Jaxson Casterline also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Elwood's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-13. As for Southern Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Elwood has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Southern Wells struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
