Shenandoah Valley suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-26 loss at the hands of Minersville. Shenandoah Valley has not had much luck with Minersville recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Nativity BVM entered their tilt with Tri-Valley with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Nativity BVM strolled past Tri-Valley with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 74-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Nativity BVM's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Keating, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Keating has scored at least a third of Nativity BVM's points. Another player making a difference was Mike Quirk, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Nativity BVM, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Shenandoah Valley came up short against Nativity BVM in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 52-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Nativity BVM's Noah Dolbin, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds.
