Ironton has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Harvest Prep Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ironton had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Heath by a score of 37-28 on Friday.
Brayden Schreck looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Shaun Terry, who gained 131 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Harvest Prep entered their tilt with West Muskingum with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Harvest Prep didn't even let West Muskingum onto the board and left with a 24-0 win on Friday. Harvest Prep might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.
Ironton has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.79 points. As for Harvest Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
Everything came up roses for Ironton against Harvest Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 34-0 win. Will Ironton repeat their success, or does Harvest Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
