Eastside is 8-2 against Dunnellon since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Eastside Rams' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Dunnellon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastside extended their postseason success on Friday against Palatka. They enjoyed a cozy 52-37 victory over the Panthers.
Meanwhile, Dunnellon entered their tilt with The Villages Charter with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Dunnellon snuck past The Villages Charter with a 65-59 victory on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tatiana Matthews was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds. Matthews is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Princess Hardin, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Eastside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Dunnellon, their victory bumped their record up to 22-3.
Eastside came up short against Dunnellon in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 65-54. Can Eastside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
