The Kennard Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Laneville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Kennard has suffered since December 18, 2023.
Laneville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Ross led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. De'Marea Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Kennard has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Laneville, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennard will square off against Apple Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laneville, they will head out on the road to take on Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Centerville: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Laneville has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
