It was a good run, but the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 60-45 bruising from Tri-Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Flanagan-Cornell of the 71-58 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Flanagan-Cornell still got an impressive performance from Kesler Collins, who scored 13 points along with four steals and three blocks. Collins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Jones, who scored nine points.
Flanagan-Cornell's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Tri-Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.
Flanagan-Cornell will be playing at home against Heyworth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-Valley on the road again on Friday and play against Fieldcrest at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Fieldcrest will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
