If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Corinth. They will challenge Ripley on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Ripley will need to watch out since Corinth have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Corinth might be getting used to good results now that the squad have six wins in a row. They steamrollered Tishomingo County 52-13. Junior Dt Sheffield was the offensive standout of the match for Corinth, as he rushed for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sheffield has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, if Ripley were riding high off their 45-14 takedown of Tishomingo County two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Ripley ended up on the wrong side of a painful 13-42 walloping at Senatobia's hands.
Corinth's victory lifted them to 7-1 while Ripley's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. We'll find out if Corinth can add another positive mark to their record or if Ripley can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Corinth's step.
