Basketball Recap: Cole Miller Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Summit Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 59-54 win over the Oaktree Academy Grizzlies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Summit Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cole Miller out in front who went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals Miller has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtland Reiter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Summit Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Oaktree Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Summit Christian Academy will face off against TEACH Homeschool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Christian Academy is facing TEACH Homeschool at the right time seeing as TEACH Homeschool is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Oaktree Academy, they will square off against Veritas Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
