The Perry Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Perry came up short against GlenOak and fell 61-51. Perry has struggled against GlenOak recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Luke Wolf, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Martelli, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Perry were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Canton Central Catholic also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Harding by a score of 58-45.
Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Canton Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Perry came out on top in a nail-biter against Canton Central Catholic when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 46-44. Does Perry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Canton Central Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
