The Hickory H Hawks will be playing at home against the Lab University Prep Regional Lab Rats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
In what's become a running theme this season, Hickory H gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Faith Christian Academy at home to the tune of 70-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hickory H has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Tay Early, who scored 17 points. Latrell Parks was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lab University Prep Regional lost to Greater Vision Academy at home by a decisive 74-55 margin on Monday. Lab University Prep Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Lab University Prep Regional saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Christian Jones, who scored 21 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Verquan Kimbrough, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Hickory H and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Lab University Prep Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Hickory H hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 63.7 points per game. It's a different story for Lab University Prep Regional, though, as they've been averaging only 61.6 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
