A District 7 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Kiefer extended the longest winning streak in A District 7 this week by beating Drumright, 60-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Trojans.
Kiefer took down the Tornadoes 60-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trey Sneed ran for 61 yards and caught one passes for 32 yards in the win.
Yale's dynamic duo of Konner Fowler and Devion Saunders proved tough for Depew to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fowler threw for 180 yards and one touchdown and Saunders had 113 yards receiving. JR Wakely helped Yale's passing attack out by catching one ball for 42 yards.
Trevor Gordon was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 91 yards as Josh Calvert's team topped the Hornets. Teammate Blake Shadowens added to the ground attack by rushing for 74 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Justin Rovang and Sneed the Trojans have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rovang leads the league in passing with 573 yards, while Sneed has rushed for 737 yards this season. Yale's Saunders leads the league in receiving yards with 290 on 14 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Kiefer takes on Barnsdall. At the moment, the Trojans are in first, while the Panthers are in fifth.
Kiefer led A District 7 in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Drumright. Sneed in the win.
